Christmas Eve Posada

The Christmas Eve Posada is always a great day at Operation Feed, when each despensa family
typically receives the following:

​

• A family gift. In recent years family gifts have included new items such as food storage containers, blankets, and bed sheets.

• An additional family gift that recipients are able to choose from among new and gently-used 
  blankets, towels, sheets and kitchen ware.

• An age-appropriate toy and a stocking of candy for each child 12 years of age and under.

• A hot, family-size chicken dinner.

Santa Claus usually visits to make sure everyone is being good, and smiles are worn by both despensa recipients and the many volunteers who are on hand to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Operation Feed’s Christmas Eve Posada is one of the biggest events of the year for many of our  despensa families. Christmas Eve at Operation Feed is only possible as the result of the efforts of
the volunteers who work for many weeks to prepare for the big day, and also the generosity of the donors who support Operation Feed.
